Michigan Nutrition Connection's goal is to stock Michiganders' pantries with the canned and dry goods they need as a base to cook healthy meals for themselves and their families. To do this, we're looking for donations of the following pantry items:
PLEASE NOTE: all donations must be unexpired, unopened, factory sealed, and in intact packaging to be accepted.
  • Canned beans

  • Canned vegetables

  • Canned tomatoes & tomato sauce

  • Canned soups

  • Canned or otherwise shelf-stable packaged meats (tuna, chicken, SPAM, jerky, etc)

  • Dry beans

  • Lentils

  • Split peas

  • Nuts & trail mix

  • Peanut butter & jelly

  • Rice

  • Other dry grains (oats, quinoa, millet, etc)

  • Cereal

  • Pasta & sauces

  • Cornmeal

  • Flour

  • Powdered Milk

  • Yeast

  • Sugar

  • Salt

  • Cooking oil

  • Spices & seasonings

  • Broth or bullion

  • Vinegar

  • Condiments (ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise, etc)

  • Health supplements (multivitamins, prenatals, Liquid IV, etc)

  • Baby formula

  • Baby food

  • Dog food, dry & canned

  • Cat food, dry & canned

How can you donate regularly without stressing your own budget? Look for coupons, BOGO deals, sales, and more as you're shopping for your own groceries, and donate the extra items from the deal. Or, you can donate your MPerks or credit card rewards points to purchasing food for donation.
